NU and Muhammadiyah represent most Indonesians as a moderate society.

Most Indonesians can speak 2 languages: Indonesian and a parent’s local language, maybe plus some English — among young generation. While santris — students of Islamic boarding school (pesantren) — are also good at Arabic.
