By the way, watching this video it reminds me to a new genre of communication, even new genre of stand up comedy perhaps. Firstly you tell a serious thing, and then the “punch” comes at the end part.

But you cannot do it on stage as a real stand up comedian, coz wasting time is not a good idea. It fits only in daily conversation, and the effect is not less hilarious than real stand up comedy. 👌😎

It’s rare case for any language community (from Indonesian, Arabic, to English etc.) to find people who speaks without accent. Most people speak under influence of their own ethnic/nation’s accents.

Usually, women speak better than men. And there could be mutual ancestor among people who can speak fluently without accent.

Many predict there will be more and more foreigners to move to Indonesia.

As a Spanish girl, Maia (Bule Maia channel) was happy finding ‘European style’ in a restaurant. The waiters and waitresses there act as ‘uneducated’, even rude persons. It’s actually just an aggregate thing for entertainment purposes.

This is totally different from common waiters/waitresses in general Indonesian restaurants whose attitude are soft and polite.

I believe waiters/waitresses in European even ain’t do such impolite things. But people tend to be delightful when finding something unusual sometimes.

And beauty standard in here are:

• Fairer skin
• Sharper nose
• Angelic look or Indo (mixture between local and westerner.
• etc. 😀

While they don’t consider a beauty for tanned skin, or short nose, or black eyes/hair. Some of them even wear contact lenses with blue color, or pain the hair with blondish color. Surprise, no?

Is that why there are growing number of marriages between Indonesian men with Westerner women? (Especially after internet entered to human culture).

Maybe.

Afterall, regardless the backgrounds, the universal quality of beauty is certain:

Some foreigners say “Indonesian adults have child-like character”.

Seeing such people, even mutual Indonesians sometimes comment:

“masa kecil kurang bahagia” 👉 “(person with) unhappy childhood”.

It’s just a kidding of course. ~

We have a few original Jakarta’s foods, e.g. gado-gado and soto Betawi, but the majority come from other parts of Indonesia: sate (Madura), ayam goreng (Kalasan), Gudeg (Yogyakarta), Siomay (Bandung), Pempek (Palembang), Bika Ambon (Medan), Rendang (Padang), Coto (Makassar), Empal Gentong (Cirebon), Pecel (Blitar) etc. , even from overseas: Sukiyaki (Japan), Kebab (Turkey), Nasi Kebuli (Arab), Steik, Pizza, Burger, Fried Chicken (Western), etc.

Big cities/countries attract merchants with various good products.
