That’s Why President Soekarno Loved to Hangout with Humble Class People

They treat everyone well, show hospitality, pure, sincere, no drama.

Especially before he was so famous as the 1st president of Indonesia, i.e. being a young independence fighter, he interacted much with humble class people, which is called “Marhaen”, a word adopted by him after a poor farmer named Marhaen whom he interviewed about his hard daily life becoming the victim of greedy wealthy people and unjust system.

It was one century ago. And the situation of marhaens is better now (nothing’s ‘perfect’ though) while the hospitality still lasts as before.

Nick experienced the same hospitality as Soekarno did.

Javanese Look (?)

“(post an example) Who is not Javanese but their face looks very Javanese”

The problem is: What does exactly a Javanese look like??

This guy also had similar problem:

Lone asked: “What does Javanese face look like?”

Masiro replied: “There are the examples in Wayang.”

Here is Wayang 👇

But Warga Setempat gave correction : “(Not wayang), it’s Reog, bro”

Reog 👇

What another pointless, random talk. ~

Mandalika MotoGP 2022: Rara, The Viral Rain Handler

In local language it’s called Pawang Hujan.

Rara Fitria Wulandari, she was able to stop the rain by doing some ritual and prayer.

This lady was also in charge to handle the rain in Asian Games 2018.

Why not hire her to The Middle East and other places with lack of rain?

By the way, to me, handling the rain is all about making the angels pleased and willing to do so.

Above all, The Lord of The Universe is The Sole Decision Maker.

Russians are Friendly: Says Daniya’s Husband

Orvala Channel

How come a YouTube channel rates Russia as one of ten rudest countries??

We in Indonesia generally depict Russia with positive impression.

It might start from the 1st president of Indonesia, Soekarno, as a friend of Russia, especially with President Nikita Khrushchev. They were good friends.

Russia, or Uni Sovyet back then, always supported Indonesia in various fields: from scholarship, art/song exchange, infrastructure, to military matters.

Uni Sovyet was a communist country, but surprisingly Soekarno’s requests regarding religious stuff, was all granted by Krushchov. Among others the reactivation of Blue Mosque AKA Soekarno Mosque that used to be a warehouse.

Soekarno also asked for rediscovery of the tomb of Bukhari, a prominent hadith collector. Unlike other foreign nations, Indonesians are allowed to enter the inner side of Bukhari tomb.

Not to mention in videos, people from Russia always give good remarks about Indonesia.

Disclaimer:

This blog is just a blog, not related to the current happening, i.e. war between Russia and Ukraine.

Both are friends of Indonesia. May the war stop soon with win win solution.
